Software companies are trying to add more AI features to their platforms, and it can be hard to keep up with it all. We’ve written this roundup to share updates from notable companies that have recently enhanced their products with AI.
Dynatrace introduces new AI-powered log analytics capabilities
Among the features the company is adding is its AI-enhanced Davis AI engine, which provides instant explanations of log content and, the company says, can make complex analytics tasks more accessible to teams by using a natural language interface to create queries, dashboards and generate reports. This, Dynatrace said, “empowers more users to access and analyze log data without extensive training.”
There is also a new OpenPipeline Technology to allow teams to gain the context they need to faster and better understand the data being generated, and analyze it more effectively. And, a simplified pricing model eliminates manual query monitoring for cost control while enabling organizations to get a better handle on annual costs, so they can scale log management more efficiently.
“Organizations today face the challenge of managing a multitude of monitoring tools, resulting in fragmented and often conflicting insights across their critical infrastructure and applications” said Mala Pillutla, vice president of log management at Dynatrace. “By providing integrated log management with in-context analytics, we enable our customers to transform data into actionable insights that help build resilience and reliability of their most critical digital assets.”
F5 introduces its Application Delivery and Security Platform for the AI era
The F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform provides a platform for delivery and security of applications that the company said simplifies management for IT and security teams. Organizations using it can deploy anywhere and can gain actionable insights from rich analytics. The data planes are fully programmable, and there is full life cycle automation that lowers or even eliminates maintenance tasks, the company wrote in its announcement at its recent AppWorld event.
The API-driven platform provides for consistent policies for every application and can operate across on-premises data centers , in virtualized and hybrid environments and the cloud. With this platform, F5 is delivering on the promise of a new generation of Application Delivery Controllers — ADC 3.0 — purpose-built to meet the extraordinary demands of modern and AI-powered applications.
“AI is driving innovation while exposing businesses to unprecedented levels of complexity and risk,” said Christopher Rodriguez, research director for Cybersecurity and Trust at IDC. “The convergence of application delivery and security capabilities will be indispensable for companies striving to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving landscape.”
Further, F5 has made its AI Gateway available for streamlining the interactions of applications, APIs and LLMs. It gives ops and security teams a path to adopting AI services through improved data output quality and user experience, the company wrote. The company also is brings its AI assistant for distributed cloud services, powered by the F5 AI Data Fabric.
Acceldata Launches Agentic Data Management Platform
The platform, which is in private beta, aims to meet the challenges of data management with AI by using the agents to learn from data patterns and optimize analytics workloads in real time, transforming data management into a proactive process. The company’s data processing xLake Reasoning Engine is at the core of Agentic DM and runs in hyperscalers, data clouds and on-premises. It can understand the nuances of managing data within a business context, the company said.
An Agent Studio enables organizations to build and deploy their own agents with the Agentic DM platform, using an API to “orchestrate workflows using multiple agents [so] organizations can create tailored automation for their unique data management needs,” the company wrote in the announcement.
Acceldata also announced Autonomous 25, an event that the company said will bring together data leaders, industry pioneers, and AI innovators to explore strategies and best practices for the AI-driven future. The event will be held on May 20 at The Pearl in San Francisco. Register to attend or request to speak.
