The remote desktop access solution TeamViewer is improving its remote monitoring and management offering by integrating Lansweeper technology into it.
Lansweeper provides IT asset discovery and inventory capabilities, which provides IT administrators greater visibility into the IT infrastructure. It provides accurate mapping of every device that is connected to a network, including information about the specific hardware and software in it.
The integration will also help IT teams improve their risk management and compliance processes, because it can detect unauthorized devices or non-compliant software.
It also helps IT teams better manage what’s in their environments by providing monitoring of not just inventory, but things like warranty status and patch deployments.
“By integrating a powerful technology like Lansweeper’s IT asset discovery and inventory capabilities into our RMM offering, we are able provide a comprehensive single-vendor solution that enables IT administrators to maintain IT landscapes at scale,” said Frank Ziarno, vice president of product management at TeamViewer. “This is a significant step forward in our commitment to simplifying IT management.”
Dave Goossens, CEO at Lansweeper added: “TeamViewer’s more than 600,000 customers will now have access to Lansweeper’s unique discovery and inventory technology. We’re excited to be part of this solution, having an automated, always up-to-date inventory is crucial for efficient and cost-effective IT management.”
