VMware has announced several new updates across its vRealize Cloud Management portfolio. New enhancements include self-driving operations and modern infrastructure automation.
The updates are spread across VMware vRealize Automation 8.2, VMware vRealize Automation Cloud, VMware vRealize Log Insight 8.2, VMware vRealize Log Insight Cloud, VMware vRealize Operations 8.2, VMware vRealize Operations Cloud, and VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.2.
New self-driving capabilities allow organizations to optimize, plan, and scale their clouds. VMware vRealize Operations 8.2 and VMware vRealize Operations cloud will feature enhanced Kubernetes support, integration with popular APM tools, improved monitoring, and efficient capacity and cost management.
VMware vRealize Log Insight 8.2 and vRealize Log Insight Cloud will also introduce enhanced Kubernetes support, along with deeper integration with VMware Cloud on AWS and usability enhancements.
VMware Automation 8.2 and VMware vRealize Automation Cloud will also add new automation capabilities including enhanced Infrastructure as Code capabilities, self-service features, Kubernetes automation, and capabilities for increasing agility, security, and control, including granular role-based access control, support for multi-tenant infrastructure, expanded support for Day 2 operations, and network automation.
These capabilities are expected to be made available during VMware’s Q3 FY21, which is the current quarter, spanning from August 8, 2020 to October 30, 2020.
