Hitachi Vantara is trying to help IT teams set their companies up for AI adoption with the general availability of the Hitachi IQ platform and the Hitachi Vantara AI Discovery Service.

Its AI platform Hitachi IQ will enable customers to access the infrastructure needed to realize the value of AI, the company explained.

In its announcement, the company confirmed that Hitachi IQ has achieved NVIDIA DGX BasePOD certification, a signal that its data infrastructure can support advanced AI workloads.

“NVIDIA DGX BasePOD certification not only tells you that this solution has met rigorous standards for reliability and performance, but it also represents a significant upgrade to handle the extensive bandwidth and speed required by today’s networks,” said Octavian Tanase, chief product officer of Hitachi Vantara.

Additionally, the Hitachi Vantara AI Discovery Service helps companies identify what AI use cases would be most valuable to them, assess their data readiness, determine the ROI of AI investment, and create a roadmap for implementation.

The company will provide consulting services to help with this, and customers can select what level of assistance they want, from a Discovery program lasting three weeks to an Advisory and Jumpstart program that lasts 12 weeks and includes technology assessment, proof of concept scoping, production planning, and more.

“AI solutions require a combination of tools, technologies, platforms, and frameworks that facilitate model development, deployment, and management,” said Jeb Horton, senior vice president of Global Services at Hitachi Vantara. “By combining the industry expertise of Hitachi and Hitachi group company partners such as GlobalLogic with the Hitachi iQ solutions portfolio, the company offers a unique blend of infrastructure and services capabilities to provide the market with customized, industry-specific tools.”
