Veeam Software has announced the launch of a new cloud-based storage solution, Veeam Data Cloud Vault.
The new solution will allow companies to store backup data in an immutable and encrypted format in the cloud.
According to Veeam’s Ransomware Trends Report 2024, 85% of companies who were victims of a security breach last year have now switched to cloud backup storage that offers immutable formats, which prevents data from being altered.
Veeam Data Cloud Vault follows Zero Trust security principles, provides on-demand access to fully managed Azure storage, and offers flat TB pricing to make costs more predictable.
The company plans to continue adding capabilities throughout the rest of the year, including colder and archive-class object storage tiers and integration into the Veeam Data Platform so that users have a single UI for central management and monitoring.
“Storing a backup of your data offsite is an essential part of any backup strategy and it’s critical to rapid, clean recovery from an outage or a cyber-attack,” said Anand Eswaran, CEO at Veeam. “New Veeam Data Cloud Vault meets this demand of enterprises by delivering an added level of data protection, cyber resilience, compliance adherence, faster recovery, and prevention against insider threats. These factors collectively contribute to strengthening the overall security posture of organizations without breaking the bank.”
The solution is now available through the Azure Marketplace.
