Observability platform provider ScienceLogic today announced the first major update to its flagship Skylar One platform since its rebrand and expansion from SL1 (the ScienceLogic AI Platform). The release delivers deeper network and automated system intelligence for large-scale enterprises and service providers, along with a new user interface and improved visualizations.
“Skylar One Juneau is a significant release for us,” ScienceLogic Chief Product Officer Michael Nappi said in the announcement. “We are at an inflection point where observability, AI and automation have converged, and this release makes that real for customers. By bundling advances in topology, geo aware visibility and high throughput data pipelines into a single AI driven platform, we give operations teams a much clearer sense of what is happening, where it is happening and how to respond with confidence.”
With this release, Skylar One brings together service-centric observability, compliance AI-driven operations, and intelligent automation as the company continues its evolution toward Autonomic IT, defined by self-managing operations that anticipate and resolve issues automatically,” ScienceLogic explained in the announcement.
The Juneau release introduces improvements to platform performance and resilience. Scalability and speed are realized with enhanced data ingestion and collection pipelines that the company says increase throughput by up to 60%. The addition of Geo Maps into the platform gives users location-based visualization to help them identify “regional or site-level issues,” ScienceLogic said. This, the company noted, helps operations terams “prioritize response, assess business impact and streamline incident triage across distributed environments.”
Other improvements are in the areas of reliability and uptime, smarter network visibility and expanded AI workload observability, the company announced.
The updates “reinforce ScienceLogic’s commitment to secure and compliant operations, supporting government and enterprise standards including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and FedRAMP environments to ensure observability and automation remain trusted across regulated sectors.”
