WanAware today has launched its intelligent observability platform, including its Knowledge Discovery Engine (KDE), to give organizations managing IT infrastructure the tools to address performance, availability and security monitoring, according to a company announcement.
One of the areas Wanaware tackles in this release is that many organizations are still using first-generation monitoring tools that simply collect data but do not feed up actionable insights. When incidents do occur, these organizations are left to rely on outdated methods to find what the problem actually is, then find the proper person to remediate the issue, which takes a lot of time and can cost these organizations lost time and money.
The limitations of these legacy tools create a risk for organizations and expose them to poor performance and even security threats. According to the company, Wanaware’s platform uses the KDE to take all the data being thrown off by IT systems and turns it into real-time insights that can be acted upon quickly and efficiently.
“Our mission has always been to elevate performance, availability, and security monitoring to meet the demands of modern IT ecosystems,” Jeff Collins, CEO of WanAware, said in a statement announcing the launch. “For too long, organizations have relied on outdated tools that generate noise without actionable guidance. WanAware changes that by offering intelligent observability, enabling teams to focus on what truly matters.”
Among the capabilities that WanAware says sets its offering apart are:
- The ability to collect and analyze over 10 billion globally connected IP addresses, refreshing data every four hours to provide real-time and historical insights and a full understanding of the IT environments.
- WanAware applies AI, machine learning, and advanced graph database infrastructure to help organizations identify patterns, behaviors and risks, and then offers automated remendiation workflows.
- The platform has an agentless architecture, which eliminates the need for software rollouts or manual deployments.
- WanAware ensures robust security through vulnerability scanning and real-time threat detection.
“Observability should be intelligent, not complex,” Wes Jensen, COO at WanAware, said in the announcement. “Our platform sets a new standard by delivering clarity and confidence to organizations navigating an increasingly connected and data-driven landscape.”
